San Luis Obispo Favorites

After the feeding frenzy that was our Thanksgiving dinner with friends, I wasn’t sure how my scheduled 12-mile run the next morning would go. The weather was pretty mixed and it poured on me a couple times, but it ended up being one of the best runs I’ve had in weeks! I finished 12 miles in about 1:37. which is just under 8:05 minutes per mile!

I came back to Mike’s parents house to find Mike slaving away over some scrambled eggs. This is his “are you really taking a picture of this?” face.

There was also a nice fruit plate and the first eggnog of the season!

I’m not crazy about drinking eggnog plain but I LOVE putting a little bit in my coffee!

Coming back to San Luis Obispo is kind of weird now. I lived there for 8 years and we left pretty suddenly when I got a job in the Bay Area, but it’s nice to be able to go back and visit pretty much whenever we want. It’s an adorable town, and it’s nice that we still have friends and family there.

Whenever we come back there’s a mandatory stop we always make.

My sister-in-law owns this adorable boutique and I love it.

It’s pretty much impossible for me to ever leave empty handed and this visit was no exception. I found this dress that I’m completely in love with!

There’s a new cafe in town that is SO much cooler than any of the other coffee shops.

They sell used books, have lamps hanging upside down from the ceiling, and have tons of comfy couches, chairs, and tables for studying.

I just had a cup of coffee…nothing else off the menu, but what I LOVE is that there are so many different milk options available!

My nephew absolutely loved the typewriter, although it took a couple tries to figure out how it worked. Anyone can type messages and talk them to the wall, and they may become a part of the Kreuzberg Ca anthology.

LOVE your boots! I’ve been to your sister in law’s store and even bought a fab pair of shoes! Is that new cafe the one with sandwiches named after authors?
