Here are some of my favorite blogs.  I’d love to hear about your favorites too!

Food/Cooking:

101 Cookbooks -One of the first cooking blogs I ever routinely read, it still remains my absolute favorite.  Nobody makes natural foods as appealing as Heidi Swanson.  I adore her recipes and photography.

Amateur Gourmet I love Adam’s quirky sense of humor, and live vicariously through his posts about the dinners he makes and restaurants he visits in New York.

Annie’s Eats – I have no idea how she does it, but Annie has a beautiful blog with great, tried-and-true recipes AND she’s a doctor AND she has a baby! Her blog is my go-to for great desserts and tasty dinners.

Baking Obsession – You won’t find standard dessert recipes here! Vera makes beautiful desserts with innovative flavor combinations, like fig and chile chocolate cake and raspberry tiramisu with cinnamon cream.

Good Things Catered – Katie is the authority on entertaining. A former caterer, her recipes and menus are fantastic, and she has great ideas for parties!

My Korean Kitchen – A fantastic resource for Korean recipes!

Orangette Molly’s blog, with her endearing writing and polaroid pictures, is like visiting an old friend. Her recipes are great, too!

Use Real Butter Jen is an amazing cook and photographer, she’s brilliant, and she has a really cute dog. I love her tell-it-like-it-is style.

Travel/Living Abroad:

Rebel’s Work In Progress: Thailand Edition – A fellow Portlander who ditched her job to teach in Thailand.

Living Spree – Like us, this couple decided to move to Thailand, then keep traveling as long as possible.

Lives of Wander – This couple is on a year-long trip around the world, and they are currently in Africa. They take great pictures, and have a lot of helpful information on planning for long-term trips.
