Cate:

That’s me. I really like cooking, eating, lattes, good beer, running, triathlons, dogs, travel, and good books.
I was born in Portland, Oregon in 1984, and I’m convinced it was the perfect place to grow up. However, after 18 years in Oregon, I left for college in sunny California and stayed there to get a B.S. in Biology, a multiple subject teaching credential, and a husband named Mike.
Mike and I had been married about a year when we started talking about moving abroad. We weren’t exactly sure where we wanted to go, but ended up buying one-way tickets to Thailand in January, 2009. We spent a few months in Thailand, then visited the UK and Ireland, and are now teaching English in Korea. We’re not sure if or when we’ll go back to the US…there are too many places we have yet to see!

World Kitchen:
I’ve always loved making recipes from all over the world, and I’ve always loved to travel. Now that I’m out of the country for an indefinite period of time, it just makes the “World” part more fitting than ever!
